EF Education First, the world leader in international education, is looking for a passionate, organized, and hardworking Flights Inventory Optimization Specialist to join EF’s in-house Travel team. In this role, you will be a member of an energetic, multinational team and report to a Manager of the Flights Inventory team for Educational Tours.

The ideal candidate is strategic, driven and motivated to ensure every EF employee has the best possible flight and the priorities of the business are achieved.

What you’ll be doing

  • Overseeing all flight bookings for the Corporate Travel team.
  • Supervising a team of up to 10 full-time flight coordinators based in four different offices worldwide.
  • Liaise with and maintain contact with senior management within the Travel department and other departments in EF.
  • Providing ongoing support, training, and development for direct reports.
  • Ensuring the team book high quality and cost conscious flight options while providing a standard of customer service for staff.
  • Implementing workflows and processes for the team that ensure an efficient turnaround time for requests while balancing additional tasks.
  • Gaining in-depth knowledge of airline contracts and the GDS (Amadeus, Sabre, Farelogix) to ensure all flight options are being considered and the best itinerary is secured.
  • Establishing strategic, realistic, and motivating goals for the entire team as a whole and for individual staff based on pertinent business, financial and historical information.
  • Overseeing the organization of flight requests for larger travel meetings across EF departments.
  • Owning a portfolio of airline supplier relationships and being responsible for the corporate negotiations with those airlines on behalf of the entire Travel division
