Procurement Specialist (m/f/x) [Belgium]


 

As a Procurement Specialist (m/f/x) you are responsible for the organization, control, and monitoring of all purchasing activities and processes, in close collaboration with all support functions and the procurement organization in the businesses.


What will you be doing?

  • You are responsible for procurement - procurement of Siemens for Belgium and Luxembourg, for a purchasing volume of 35 million euros per year.
  • You put a sourcing strategy in place, you negotiate with suppliers, you launch quote requests (e-RFQ) by using all digital application available.
  • You ensure the governance, implementation and alignment of procurement processes and policies in Belgium and Luxembourg.
  • You actively support the organization and businesses through a process of submitting offers and active projects to achieve the best price and the best conditions to negotiate & conclude framework agreements.
  • You organize and carry out supplier assessments for your commodities.
  • You monitor and improve achievements via KPIs.
  • You monitor compliance and adherence to purchasing control procedures as well as reporting.
  • You drive digitalization, sustainability& value creation in your area of responsibility.
  • You are an active part of the Siemens purchasing community.

The role is based in Huizingen (southern outskirts of Brussels), but you will have to travel to France in the beginning as the wider procurement team is based there for the onboarding.


Curious to know if you are the colleague we’re looking for?

  • You hold a bachelor’s degree, or you have a first experience/background in procurement, buying or purchasing.
  • You have a great interest in the digitalization and optimization of processes.
  • Experience in procurement and/or being familiar with projects related to smart building solutions – smart building environment (fire safety, CCTV, access control, HVAC, etc.) is a plus.
  • You have the skills to manage and negotiate diplomatically in French, Dutch and English.
  • Knowledge of SAP and implementing processes is needed.
  • You have strong analytical and problem-solving abilities combined with a critical mindset.
  • You know how to work and collaborate in a team, interact easily in the execution of sales and projects.
