We at the Bupa Parklands Hospital are searching for Activities Assistant with a creative flair to join our passionate team. This is a permanent, part-time position and you must be available to work shifts between 10.30AM to 4.30PM on a 4 days on 2 days off roster.


In this role, you will be supporting the Activities Coordinator, identifying the leisure activity needs of each of the Parklands Hospital patients based on their interests, preferences, and abilities and contribute to the planning and implementation of individual and group activities programmes.


Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Participate and contribute to both individual and group programme activities such as, story telling, music and arts and crafts.
  • Contribute to the review and assessment of the residents' individual activities programme.
  • Actively promote a homely, stimulating, and pleasant environment for the residents and their families.
  • Develop and maintain excellent internal and external communication networks to support the activities programme.


About you:

  • Previous experience in a similar role within the dementia community and/or aged care.
  • Display enthusiasm, empathy, and a passion for making a positive impact on the lives of residents
  • Arrange activities
  • Demonstrate outstanding communication and time management skills
  • Work collaboratively with the team and build rapport with others
  • A fun personality with a creative flair
