The Product Management Lead is responsible for supporting and eventually leading, managing, and directing all the product marketing related activities within their business and/or product line. At Honeywell, the Product Management Lead owns a product line end-to-end and is accountable for product profitability. The successful candidate will work closely with manufacturing and sourcing, engineering and Research & Development, internal senior executives, Field Sales organization, key business partners and the senior management team to maximize the growth, development and return on investment of the organization’s product portfolio today and in the future.


Key Responsibilities:

Strategy & Planning:

  • Integrate inputs to develop distinctive product plans with outstanding financial outcomes; Be competent in economics, finance, analysis, and SAP
  • Own the product planning process including new product additions, sunset current products; product pricing; SKU management, product operations and supply chain coordination.
  • Ensure that the requirements and required efforts of each participating department/function (commercial excellence, technical lead, engineering, ISC, etc.) are accurately represented in the product plan
  • Effectively manage products across their lifecycle from demand planning of new offerings through SIOP on ongoing basis through including managing End of Life (EoL)
  • Utilize strong operating process to manage lifecycle management – e.g., PLOT, x-matrix, RAIL, dashboard measurement, etc.
  • Apply 80/20 to portfolio to define offerings that should be sunset and appropriate pricing during sun setting and address sourcing factory utilization impacts.

Pricing:

  • Develop dynamic pricing strategies based on value delivered, input costs, market trends and forecasts
  • Strong fundamental understanding and ability to apply transactional pricing toolkit to drive to actions; Strong demonstrated ability to implement transactional pricing recommendations
  • Utilize an operating process to track pricing – PVA (price-volume analysis), etc.
  • Demonstrate VCM understanding and the linkage pricing has to VCM performance


Products and Services Management:

  • Classic product/services management. Understand and manage product/services life cycles, profitability, demand planning, new product/services development ideation and process management, competitive offerings
  • Demonstrate understanding of end-to-end role of Product Management Lead in context of dynamic competitive environment; Owns the product profitability and drives positive results
  • Integrate businesses into decision making; Product team delivers on customer needs on time and budget
  • Drive portfolio optimization including supplier, inventory, or asset management as needed

Program & Project Management:

  • Establish/maintain a project management framework in line with strategic objectives; Direct and control the delivery of programs and projects
  • Establish and promote the use of metrics to improve program effectiveness; Use structured processes to manage programs/projects


Customer Support:

  • Communicate the value of the offering in customer centric terms to cause customer to choose Honeywell offerings based on value delivered
  • Effectively translate customer and business needs into actionable product requirements
  • Provide appropriate information on products (specifications, documentation, pricing, lead times etc.) to support sales process and customer inquiries
  • Drive resource and/or order allocation decisions where needed

MUST HAVE:

  • A minimum of 4 to 6 years’ experience in similar leadership role.
  • Must have demonstrated success leading product management.
  • Must have experience working manufacturing operations.
  • Strategic Skills: Understanding and experience with the ability to practically apply to their product line. Must link strategies to financial results.
  • Leadership: A confident, mature professional with the ability to connect with others. Ability to lead projects and teams that successfully achieve milestones and complete deliverables.
  • Results-Oriented: A driver who possesses the ability to take actions and implement effective solutions in a timely manner
  • Problem Solver: A creative yet pragmatic problem solver. Methodical and hands-on as well as detail-oriented
  • Analytical Thinking and Decision-Making: A “conceptualizer” of enterprise and market trends/issues who can then integrate that thinking into product and business strategies. Decisive and logical at thoroughly evaluating issues. Excellent planning, execution, and project-management skills.
  • Teamwork and Interpersonal Skills: A team player and builder, receptive to ideas from others. Shares information and keeps team members and partners informed. Works effectively with others to identify and resolve issues. Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to interact successfully with a diverse work force.
  • Ethics: Highest level of professional integrity and honesty as well as personal credibility.


WE VALUE:


  • undergraduate degree in an analytical (e.g., economics, math, engineering, etc.…) or technical discipline is required.
  • MBA is highly desirable (top-tier school preferred)
  • Industry experience in semi-conductor
