The Role
Prospera seeks a Senior Social Policy Expert (STA) to offer strategic and evidence-based guidance on two work packages – (i) gender and age responsive social policy solutions, and (ii) care economy and social policy. The STA will be responsible for leading the development of two working papers outlining policy proposals for both areas, complete with fiscal benefits and costs and delivery considerations.

Program Background
Prospera is a partnership facility between the Government of Australia (through Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade) and the Government of Indonesia. It aims to foster strong, sustainable, and inclusive economic growth in Indonesia. Commencing from 1 March 2018, Prospera is a planned five-year investment will complete in February 2026.

About You
The candidate will possess strong qualifications and experience as follows:
  • Post-graduate degree in Economics, Social Policy and/or relevant disciplines.
  • Minimum 10 (ten) years’ experience, and successful track record in, informing Indonesia's social protection policy priorities.
  • Strong analytical skills, including ability to undertake or oversee the following tasks - fiscal analyses, analysis of Indonesia's national socio-economic datasets, and the synthesising of qualitative information obtained through consultations with stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in working with interdisciplinary teams, capitalising on strengths of each member to craft well-structured policy advisory contributions.
  • Knowledge of gender responsive social protection design and implementation.
  • Skills in convening stakeholder discussions and facilitating dialogue.
  • Ability to work closely with government counterparts.
  • Ability to communicate complex analytical work in easily understandable language to policy makers and practitioners.
  • Excellent writing and speaking skills in both English and Bahasa Indonesia.
Remuneration
The remuneration will be set according to National Remuneration Framework Group C, Job Level 2. This position open for National Indonesian. The remuneration level at which the position is engaged will be based on the successful candidates’ relevant skills and experience. This position is a short-term position.
