  • Engineering Degree
  • Comprehensive experience in a similar senior role in a fast-paced industrial, logistics, production/manufacturing environment
  • Quantitative and qualitative analytical skills
  • Advanced data analysis skills and an expert in using supporting tools e.g. MS Excel, MS Access, MySQL, Minitab/JMP
  • Excellent Project Management Skills
  • Experience with Kaizen and Continuous Improvement methodologies

As the leader of the EU Amazon Logistics Capacity Process Engineering team, you will be responsible for supporting WW capacity optimization and standardization efforts, whilst also supporting local customers with in-station deep dives, and vital analysis and support for all high volume events. Your leadership of the team will extend to deep partnering with stakeholders in central operations and forecasting teams, as well as reporting out to VP level local and WW customers. You will scope and lead your own design and improvement programs, driving upgrades in models, tools, analysis outputs, infrastructure decision-making, in addition to being a key reviewer of innovation and process technologies from other engineering teams.

This role can be based out of any of the central corporate AMZL locations; London, Luxembourg, Berlin, Munich, Milan, Paris, Madrid or Barcelona and involves pan-EU and some WW travel.

Key job responsibilities
Leading Capacity Engineering for all process infrastructure definition and specification for EU AMZL and beyond

Delivering world-class infrastructure for our operational customers and stakeholders

Owning all road-mapping and planning for given area of responsibility and ensuring roadmap is delivered

Leading a team of senior engineers, supporting their growth and development to achieve personal and business goals

Partnering with other support functions to innovate and produce the best operational outcomes, including partnering with equivalent teams WW

Make material improvements in capital expenditure and operating expenditure within the process area with the programs and improvements from your team

Deliver business cases and structural investment proposals to VP-level leadership

Produce operational planning cycles plans and proposals for your process infrastructure area

Provide wider leadership as a Senior Manager within the PE and AMZL Engineering function; including being a proxy for the Head of Process Engineering, leading connections workshops, producing MBR reports etc.

About the team
The AMZL EU Process Engineering team partners closely with AMZL Ops and Ops Support functions to identify, design and develop best-in-class process infrastructure and process layouts. Supporting this, the team supports prioritization of EU and WW continuous improvement initiatives in addition to cross-regional benchmarking. Irrespective of home location, all team members work on EU-wide initiatives.
