Receptionist [Netherlands]


 

Your smile is the first thing we see when we enter our office in Amsterdam. This also applies to our guests. Your appearance already says “welcome, what can I do for you?” before you have even spoken those words. Hospitality is in your DNA!

As a Receptionist, you are part of the Hospitality team within Dept® and so you often work with your Hospitality colleagues from Catering and Tech Support. Together you ensure that the facilities within Dept® run smoothly. Problems are solved before anyone notices. And we are all constantly working to make our offices even more welcoming and fun.

Responsibilities

  • You will manage the reception which means, welcoming guests, handling packages that arrive and answer the phone;
  • You will answer the questions about our own desk booking tool a colleague emails you asking if you can help with ordering presents or arranging the referral bonus;
  • Then a colleague comes to see you: all consultation rooms are booked and a customer will be arriving soon, so let's do some puzzling;
  • Handling 10 things at the same time.

You end the day by preparing the meeting rooms and making sure the office looks great again for the next working day. When do you do a little dance on the tables? If everything runs smoothly thanks to your help and all guests and colleagues feel at home at the office.

You:

  • Are available between 16 and 24 hours a week, the times and days are flexible;
  • Have previous experience(s) in the service/hospitality industry;
  • You have strong written and communication skills in Dutch and English;
  • You are hospitable, service-oriented and representative;
  • You are stress-resistant and you switch easily between different tasks;
  • You are flexible and willing to work extra where necessary to compensate for the absence of your colleagues.
