Today, we are looking to recruit our new Business Developer (f-m-d) to join our Global Business & Account Development team in the Water & Wastewater vertical out of Erlangen office.

We make real what matters. This is your role.

  • Define and execute business development plans together with account managers across selected Mediterranean regions, including Spain, France, and Italy, to achieve business growth in the water industry for the entire Siemens portfolio.
  • Support systematic account development for selected managed accounts to increase share of wallet and customer retention.
  • Drive strategic initiatives for exploitation of value pools in adjacent market segments, e.g., Siemens offering for water-related industrial sustainability.
  • Support alignment of Siemens go-to-market strategy for water industry across different business segments and sales channels (e.g., segment sales, inside sales).
  • Support operational business development activities, such as customer meetings, proposal and bid development, as well as customer success management.
  • Ensure smooth communication between Water Account Managers and internal departments at Siemens in case of channel conflicts or escalations.
  • Support sales steering for selected regions and accounts, such as target setting, sales reporting, etc.

What you need to make real what matters.

  • Your actions are driven by the motivation for collaboration, open and trustful communication as well as the values of the agile mindset.
  • You hold an academic degree in business administration, economics, engineering and/ or any other STEM field from a leading university or college.
  • You bring with several years of relevant work experience in the intersection of sales, business, and technology ideally from an international business set-up.
  • You have strong understanding of the water industry (e.g., customer needs, market) based on your existing work experience.
  • You have solid knowledge of process engineering and technology with focus on water (e.g., desalination, water treatment).
  • You impress everyone with your excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • You are fluent in English and German, while other EU languages like Spanish, Italian and French are highly appreciated.
