Full-time term position for Content Development - Mathematics from September 5, 2023, to June 21, 2024.
The Newfoundland and Labrador English School District (NLESD) consists of 253 schools and 5 alternate sites, approximately 65,000 students, and more than 9,000 teachers, support staff, and administration.
The successful candidate will examine the Mathematics 1201 Curriculum for the purpose of designing and creating instructional resources to support learning for students in an asynchronous setting. Candidates require a strong knowledge of and experience with the Mathematics 1201 curriculum.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Experience in designing engaging multimedia lessons
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills
Experience in working with digital tools to design digital content
Experience with Universal Design for Learning
Understanding of effective teaching and assessment practices in the E-learning environment
The ability to plan and implement effective and responsive teaching and learning practices for remote learners
The ability to create and maintain effective working relationships
The ability to engage professionally and collaboratively with colleagues regardless of their physical location
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor of Education (Secondary)
Bachelor’s Degree - Mathematics Major
The location of these positions will be determined by the availability of office space in a current school or regional office.
