Job Title: Content Writer - Social Media Platforms

Job Description:

We're 7 MILES PER SECOND, Currently looking for a creative and detail-oriented Content Writer to join our team and take charge some of our social media platforms. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional writing skills, a passion for crafting high-quality and unique content, and a strong background in creating content for social media. This position requires a solid understanding of technical proposal writing and experience in the fields of English, journalism, communications, or related disciplines.

Responsibilities:

1. Create Engaging Content: Develop high-quality, original, and captivating content for social media platforms to engage and connect with our audience effectively.

2. Written and Verbal Communication: Showcase exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English to convey complex ideas in a clear and concise manner.

3. Social Media Experience: Demonstrate prior experience in creating content specifically for social media, understanding the nuances of different platforms, and tailoring content accordingly.

4. Technical Proposal Writing: Utilize expertise in writing technical proposals to communicate initiatives and projects to potential collaborators and partners.

5. Content Management: Handle end-to-end content management, including content creation, curation, editing, proofreading, and ensuring its proper scheduling and distribution.

6. Versatility in Writing: Ability to write in various styles and formats to suit different target audiences across multiple platforms.

7. Translation Skills: Possess the ability to translate content from English into other languages to reach a broader audience.

8. Marketing Content: Craft articles, blogs, web pages, marketing materials, and email content to promote IIT Madras' achievements and offerings effectively.

Requirements:

- Minimum 6+ years of professional writing experience, with a strong focus on digital platforms.

- Extensive experience in creating, curating, editing, proofreading, and managing content.

- Proficiency in both print publication and web content creation and editing.

- Bachelor's degree in English, journalism, communications, or a related field will be preferred.

- A portfolio of past work, including blogs, published articles, or other relevant content, to be submitted with the resume.
