We are currently recruiting for a Hotel Receptionist for Bailbrook House Hotel, this prestigious luxury country house hotel is steeped in history and located within the beautiful city of Bath. Bailbrook House Hotel is a popular venue for relaxing weekends away or for weddings and events.

We have an opportunity for someone to join our hard-working team at Bailbrook House Hotel as a Hotel Receptionist.

This is a full time role of 40 hours per week over 5 days. This role offers a mixture of hours and flexibility, including early shifts from 6:45am - 3.15pm, mid shifts of 10am - 6:30pm (to be flexible depending on the business of the day) and late shifts of 2.15pm – 10.45pm. This is on a rota basis and will include weekends, as weekends tend to be our busiest times.

Our receptionists are the first member of Hand Picked our guests speak to, which means you’ll get to make one of the biggest impressions. You will be able to give a fantastic welcome and get our customers excited about their stay, whether that’s showing off the hotel with a guided tour, or showing the guests the way to their bedroom and assisting them with their bags.

It doesn’t matter if they’re first time visitors or returning guests, you’ll charm them from the initial welcome to the “have a safe journey home” with your impeccable standards of service.

About you:

  • You will live locally to the hotel, or within a reasonable commute
  • Most of all, you’ll have a friendly, welcoming and genuine manner
  • You’ll have recent experience working as a Hotel Receptionist and knowledge of Opera is desirable
  • You’ll be passionate about making our guests feel at home, and will develop a thorough knowledge of our of hotel products and services
  • You’ll feel comfortable in a fast-paced, busy environment
  • You’ll ideally have previous experience in a similar environment and role, but this is not essential
  • You’ll be excellent at building a rapport with new and returning guests
  • You’ll take pride in your appearance, as the face of Hand Picked Hotels
