We are currently looking for an Operations Planner. In this role you will play a vital role in our success. If you are interested in our position and want to pursue a career in our company, we invite you to be part of our team!
What are the main responsibilities of this role?
  • Be responsible for the general planning activities, ensuring vessels are efficiently planned and ordered according to the operational requirements and guidelines
  • Maintain a continuous improvement mindset by actively seeking ways to reduce wastes in operations through a better vessel and yard planning
  • Maintain close coordination with Terminals, GSP (Global Stowage Planning) and LOC (line operations center) to ensure service delivery is on time with the right quality
  • Communicates with several stakeholders, receiving and providing information on a daily basis.
  • Ensures smooth, efficient and highly productive planning with due consideration to the vessel stability and safety under load and discharge.
  • Keeps systems updated as well as maintain planning information and documentation logged in accordance with the terminal vessel planning procedure.
What are we looking for?
  • Bachelor’s degree related to Logistics, Port management, Industrial Engineering, Information technology, applied economy or any other relevant field
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in container terminal operations environment preferably in a large facility
  • Previous experience as a dispatcher in a container terminal environment will be an advantage
  • Previous experience in different terminals is a differentiator
  • Skilled in container vessel stowage and stability criteria
  • User level of Navis N4, its associated optimization and automation modules
  • Familiar with safety regulations, safe working procedures and safe materials handling procedures
  • Has familiarity with the strict implementation of international standards of safe working practices within marine, stevedoring, and terminal operations
  • Fluent English and Spanish. Portuguese is a plus.
  • Verbal and written communications skills
  • Flexibility to work in a rotation model
