Job Summary:

The Quality Document Control (FSQA) Specialist will work cross functionally with internal and external teams to ensure the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of our quality documentation and records, Ensure SABROSURA products comply with governmental regulations in all countries we are doing business in. The company has a presence in two regions (NAM and LATAM). Will be responsible for maintaining our document control system in accordance with good manufacturing record control requirements and maintaining the Quality Training Program.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

· This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Prepares timely and accurate responses to customer inquiries – both internal and external – regarding the regulatory status of our products, the ingredients they contain and the processes we use to produce them.
  • Conduct reviews of raw materials, ingredient compositions, formulations, nutritional, labeling, and emerging agency regulations.
  • Accurately maintain product information databases. Establish and maintain procedures and processes to assure regulatory compliance and participate in audits of all related procedures.
  • Fulfill regulatory compliance needs from all key stakeholders and customers in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Work with parent company's relevant regulatory teams, when necessary, on key industry-related issues.
  • Directly work with local, federal, and various state regulatory agencies and key personnel on specific matters affecting pet food, ingredients, and food protection.
  • Communicates professionally with governmental agencies and with both joint venture partners on all matters affecting our regulatory compliance.
  • Perform regular audits to verify document integrity and completeness.
  • Work with teams to upload and maintain records in the electronic Quality Management System.
  • Serve as a point of contact for document related inquiries and provide guidance on document management and control.

· Identify food safety regulations, and corrective actions against suppliers requiring appropriate corrective action will be required.

· Direct and assist in reassessing the supplier verification program annually for recommendations for improvement, properly and accurately retain and store records to be readily retrievable upon request from the Food & Drug Administration (FDA).

  • Foster effective communication channels to promote collaboration and information sharing among-cross-functional teams.
  • Identify and develop training plan and execute training for all new GMP employees.
  • Keeps Suppliers & Product specification sheets, Letter of Guarantees, and COAs on file for claim substantiation and records.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements related to document control.
  • Participate in quality systems audits and provide support for internal and external audits.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned by the Department manager.
  • Successfully led organization through several annual external regulatory examination and audits covering compliances of SQF, FSIS, USDA, Organic and FDA standards

· Other manufacturing document control related tasks as applicable.

· Overseeing and storage of pest control program reports.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Knowledge of quality management systems, document control principles, and regulatory requirements (e.g., Good Manufacturing Practices, ISO standards, and FDA regulations).
  • 1-3 years of experience in Document Control or Quality Position.
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills and the ability to build productive working relationships across a diverse spectrum of people.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs such as Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams.
  • Strong independence, organizational, analytical, critical thinking, communication, are required.
  • Robust organizational with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • A critical thinker and meticulous attention to detail
  • Knowledge inventory control & high standard of cleanliness.

Education and Experience:

· Excellent interpersonal and good communication skills which include the ability to teach and explain methodologies High School Diploma or GED required.

  • Prior experience managing training programs.
  • Computer skills especially in the use Microsoft Word and Excel and ability to manage files and records effectively.
  • Thorough understanding of methods and processes involved in manufacturing.
  • Prior experience writing, editing, reviewing, and approving SOPs, WIs, Policies, etc.
  • Knowledge of manual and electronic document management and quality management system.
  • Knowledge of change control practices.

Physical Requirements:

· Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

· May be required to work in different environments: Coolers (40deg), or hot kitchen (90deg), near noisy machinery.

· Must be able to lift to 50 pounds.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $28.00 - $30.00 per hour
