Job Description:
Job Summary

Performs analysis of Safety and operational data, determines and monitors performance exceedance triggers, and reports results for the Safety Information Management System (SIMS) in support of the overall Safety Management System (SMS). Collaborates with other SIMS Team Analysts to transform various data sources (e.g. injury and damage data, flight data, and safety reporting data).

This role is a hybrid position based out of our Corporate Campus in Dallas, TX, which requires Employees to work onsite on our Corporate Campus at least three days a week. The Department designates the specific three days of the week Employees must work on-site.

U.S. citizenship or current authorization to work in the U.S. is required, and no current or future work authorization sponsorship available.

Responsibilities

Analyze data for trends and anomalies and then prepare reports for Senior Management

Collect, analyze, and interpret Safety information to determine cause and effect relationships to develop qualitative and quantitative analyses, aimed at reducing injuries to people and damage to equipment and brand

Develop, maintain, and deliver daily, weekly, monthly, and annual statistical as well as ad hoc reports use for trend analysis to meet corporate and organizational needs and requirements

Prepare reports to comply with regulatory requirements including but not limited to A4A, FAA, OSHA, and the Bureau of Labor and Statistics (BLS)

Work with Stakeholders and business partners to maintain strong relationships to guarantee objectives and goals are met

May perform other job duties as directed by Employee’s Leaders

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Intermediate knowledge of principals and methods of querying & blending data, visualizing trends and anomalies, applied statistics, hypothesis testing & research design, natural language processing, phrasing complex statistical methods in a simple way for Senior Leadership

Intermediate knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology including applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the design and production of various goods and services

Skilled in understanding the implications of new information for both current and future problem-solving and decision-making

Skilled in collecting, organizing, visualizing and assimilating data including turning raw data into meaningful information using data-oriented programming languages and visualization software

Skilled in using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems

Skilled in written and verbal communication

Skilled in analytics with the ability to break down and analyze various types of data (e.g. Employee reporting, injury & damage data, and flight data) across the enterprise

Skilled in using Business Intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau, Alteryx and R) and/or flight data analysis software (e.g. GE Event Measurement System)

Ability to combine pieces of information to form general rules or conclusions (includes finding a relationship among seemingly unrelated events)

Ability to arrange things or actions in a certain order or pattern according to a specific rule or set of rules
Education

Required: High School diploma or GED

Experience

Intermediate level experience, fully functioning broad knowledge in:

Business process development (analysis, design, and/or programming)

Developing and supporting technology applications

Working with data and database management

Developing data reporting tools

Working with business intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau, Alteryx, R, or similar) and/or flight data analysis software (e.g. GE Event Measurement System)

Licensing/Certification

N/A

Physical Abilities

Ability to perform work duties from [limited space work station/desk/office area] for extended periods of time

Ability to communicate and interact with others in the English language to meet the demands of the job

Ability to use a computer and other office productivity tools with sufficient speed and accuracy to meet the demands of the job

Other Qualifications

Must maintain a well-groomed appearance per Company appearance standards as described in established guidelines

Must be a U.S. citizen or have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986

Must be at least 18 years of age

Must be able to comply with Company attendance standards as described in established guidelines

Ability to travel and work extended hours as needed, based on operational needs

Pay & Benefits:
Competitive market salary from $80,350 - $89,300 per year * depending on qualifications and experience.
