  • Min 5 years of relevant work experience in Corporate Compliance or external and / or internal audit.
  • Experienced with anti-bribery / anti-corruption laws, such as the Law Sapin II / FCPA / UKBA and other issues arising in a Renewable Energy or Oil and Gas company, is required.
  • Bachelor’s degree is required – Legal / Accounting / Business preferred.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with experience communicating with individuals at various levels and functions within an organization, including senior management.
  • Fluent in English
  • Solid analytical and conceptual skills, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to be proactive and exercise independent judgment.
  • Strong work ethic and ability to produce high quality work under significant deadline pressures.
  • Unquestionable integrity and ethics and ability to remain firm with these principles under pressure.
  • Ability to travel approximately 20% across APAC.

This includes responsibilities such as,

  • Support the implement of TotalEnergies’ global and regional Compliance program, strategies and initiatives, as well as applicable local industry norms, local laws and codes.
  • Appropriately communicate and provide timely and value-added guidance and advice to all internal stakeholders including local management, sales & marketing teams, etc. on Compliance related matters, throughout the Renewables business units.
  • Conduct trainings on Code of Conduct and compliance policies to New Hires and TotalEnergies Renewables stakeholders.
  • Support the implementation of local compliance policies, if necessary.
  • Manage and support implementation, UAT, training, and roll-out of TotalEnergies Compliance tools and systems in coordination with the GRP Compliance team.
  • Manage compliance systems for the tracking and recording of gifts/hospitalities/entertainment expenses, conflict of interest declarations, due diligence screenings (World Check), etc.
  • Supporting a range of projects across the region.
  • Support in risk mapping activities to ensure the local and regional compliance risks are identified, assessed, mitigated, and reported including proper documentation.
  • Keeping abreast with local Laws and Codes affecting Compliance related matters and keeping the Compliance Officer informed on a timely basis, as well as potential impact for the organization and agree on needed actions.
  • Support the business in conducting Due Diligence screening on clients and third parties including reviewing of questionnaires, mitigation measures, review of due diligence documents / reports, coordination of local governance meetings, preparation of 3rd party metrics and reports.
  • Support and monitor contracting process, including engagement of legal colleagues and business stakeholders to ensure the existence and adequacy of compliance clauses in written agreements.
  • Ongoing monitoring of high-risk 3rd parties and pro-active remediation of potential findings identified.
  • Manage all the monitoring and control activities to detect any deviations to TotalEnergies’ policies. To document all monitoring work on quarterly metrics reports and follow-up on all findings, remediation, and action plans.
  • Archive and conserve documents, including & due diligence files, according to the rules issued by the Company.
  • Support the Compliance Officer Renewables APAC in the treatment of Integrity Alerts

  • The competitive environment: The business operates in a very competitive environment with both local and national competitors. Constantly changing technical evolutions require that to remain competitive active cost reduction and performance improvement processes need to be actioned. Strategies to sell not purely on price have to be developed and implemented in order to protect value.
  • The regulatory environment: Each country in the region being managed has different regulatory framework and context for which the business must operate. Regulation – as solar is a relatively new industry – is constantly evolving and the business is required on a regular basis to adapt its business model.
  • The business environment: to operate in partnership with other Group affiliates to ensure consistent approach to customers, One Total structures used, communications coordinated, opportunities created by Group leveraged.
  • The HSE environment: to ensure that the highest standards of HSE are implemented to meet Group standards. This can often involve implementing additional processes beyond what is market standard in the region of operation.
