Vretta is looking for an HR Assistant for the recruitment, operational, and administrative HR needs of our company. This position requires a people person motivated to kick-start or progress their careers in HR by gaining hands-on experience in various functions of HR in the ed-tech field.
Responsibilities
Recruitment
- Assisting with the full cycle recruitment: screening candidates, conducting initial behavioral interviews, shortlisting qualified candidates, setting up the next assessment and interview stages, providing feedback.
- Thoroughly understanding the requirements of technology positions through discussions with functional heads.
- Collaborates with cross-functional teams to create and maintain interview questions and online assessments.
- Develops a strong pool of talent through joining and networking on various online groups, alumni job boards, co-op partnerships.
- Regularly promoting job posts and creating social media posts to build solid social media presence.
- Enhancing our employer branding by providing seamless candidate experience.
- Assisting with the documentation and preparation of effective onboarding plans.
HR Administration
- Following HR best practices and processes established by the company, and provides feedback for improvements.
- Maintaining onboarding and offboarding tasks to ensure all items are on track during the employee life cycle.
- Supporting the documentation and record-keeping of policies, and training registers.
- Helping with the compliance and audit requirements that will verify our operational excellence.
- Following up with the time-off requests and making sure that employees follow the established policies and procedures.
- Managing company equipment requests: ordering, shipping, and collecting devices and updating the inventory register by working with the IT team.
Engagement
- Building and maintaining sustainable relationships with our employees and partners.
- Assisting with the organization of events, webinars, surveys, and training.
Requirements
- Post-secondary degree in Human Resources or a similar field from a recognized post-secondary institution.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Immaculate attention to detail.
- Exceptional organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information.
- Agility and self-discipline to meet the demands of a fast-paced environment and keep up with the changing requirements and priorities.
