Cloud Developer II
Job Family Definition:
Designs, develops, troubleshoots and debugs software programs for software enhancements and new products. Develops software including operating systems, compilers, routers, networks, utilities, databases and Internet-related tools. Determines hardware compatibility and/or influences hardware design.
Management Level Definition:
Applies intermediate level of subject matter knowledge to solve a variety of common business issues. Works on problems of moderately complex scope. Acts as an informed team member providing analysis of information and limited project direction input. Exercises independent judgment within defined practices and procedures to determine appropriate action. Follows established guidelines and interprets policies. Evaluates unique circumstances and makes recommendations.
Responsibilities:
An IT specialist with a focus on private and public cloud management job functions:
Cloud Infrastructure Management:
- Deploy, and manage private and public cloud infrastructure and services.
- Configure and maintain virtualized environments.
- Monitor resource utilization, capacity planning, and scalability of cloud infrastructure.
- Automate provisioning and orchestration processes for cloud resources.
- Manage user access, permissions, and resource allocation in the cloud environment.
- Optimize cost and performance of cloud services through analysis and optimization techniques.
- Implement and enforce security controls and policies to protect cloud environments.
- Monitor and respond to security incidents, vulnerabilities, and access management.
System and Network Administration:
- Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, servers in data center etc.
- Monitor and troubleshoot network performance, connectivity issues, and security breaches.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access levels across various systems.
- Perform disaster recovery planning, and data restoration.
- Monitor and optimize system performance, capacity, and scalability.
- Implement and enforce security policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Ensure compliance with data protection regulations and industry standards.
- Provide technical assistance and support to end-users, both remotely and on-site.
- Respond to user inquiries, diagnose, and resolve issues.
Education and Experience Required:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent with a minimum of 2 years of experience
- Expertise is public and private cloud administration, especially AWS, GCP and Azure.
- Red hat Linux experience.
- VMware experience.
- Ability to work with dispersed teams globally
- Excellent communication skills
- Scripting experience is a plus.
