Position Overview:
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Landscape Supervisor to oversee and maintain the aesthetic and functional aspects of our farm's landscape. As the Landscape Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the beauty and sustainability of our surroundings, creating a welcoming environment for visitors, and contributing to our mission of sustainable agriculture.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, design, and implement landscape projects to enhance the farm's aesthetic appeal and functionality.
- Supervise a team of landscape technicians, assign tasks, and provide guidance to ensure efficient execution of landscape maintenance activities.
- Monitor and maintain the health and condition of plants, trees, and greenery, ensuring they receive appropriate care and attention.
- Coordinate with the irrigation specialist to ensure proper watering and irrigation of landscape areas.
- Manage the application of fertilizers, pesticides, and other treatments in accordance with organic farming standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of walkways, paths, and outdoor areas to ensure a safe and enjoyable environment for visitors.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify and address pest infestations, diseases, and other landscape-related issues.
- Train and educate staff on proper landscape maintenance techniques and safety protocols.
- Keep accurate records of landscape activities, materials used, and plant inventory.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to showcase the farm's landscape during events and tours.
- Participate in continuous learning to stay updated on landscaping trends, techniques, and innovations.
Requirements:
- Diploma or degree in Landscape Architecture, Horticulture, or a related field.
- Proven experience (3+ years) in landscape design and maintenance, preferably in an organic farming or sustainable environment.
- Strong knowledge of local plant species, soil types, and climatic conditions in the UAE.
- Proficiency in landscape design software and tools.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Ability to diagnose and address plant health issues, pests, and diseases.
- Familiarity with organic landscaping practices and sustainable approaches.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- UAE driving license is a plus.
