The position

By joining our team in CFO you will have the opportunity to:

Work in the Subsidiary Treasury & Banking team within Internal Treasury in the Treasury & Tax function.

Internal Treasury (ITR) is responsible for corporate credit, cash management infrastructure, subsidiary banking, and treasury management of Equinor’s subsidiaries. As part of ITR, Subsidiary Treasury & Banking is accountable for treasury management and strategies for the Equinor subsidiaries; capital and legal structure management, liquidity, FX management and partner alignment, all done in close collaboration with relevant internal units and external counterparties. In addition, the unit is providing support and financial advice, except for structured finance matters, to the Equinor Group and business areas related to business development and M&A.

The successful candidate will:

  • Act as Treasury Analyst for a specific portfolio of Equinor subsidiaries and associated countries.

  • Align with corporate staffs, in particular Tax, Legal and other Treasury units, in addition to having extensive interfaces with many of Equinor’s business lines and countries. Externally there will be collaboration with banks, counterparties, and others.

  • Be the primary point of contact with Finance & Control managers in relevant business areas and subsidiaries regarding subsidiary treasury strategies, balance sheet (financial structuring), liquidity management and foreign exchange exposure.

This position provides the platform to understand the corporate treasury setup and will provide valuable experience as basis for future development within the Treasury & Tax organisation.

Candidates interested in treasury and financial matters, who have the skills needed to work in a unit with broad Equinor responsibility and high degree of interactions with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Master’s degree in economics or finance.

  • Relevant experience may compensate for formal qualifications.

  • 3+ years of relevant experience preferred.

  • Solid business understanding and commercial mindset.

  • Proactive, flexible, and able to work independently in a dynamic environment.

  • Strategic mindset, with analytical, structured, and systematic approach.

  • Strong digital understanding (is an advantage), with focus on improvements.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills in English.

  • Good interpersonal skills, co-operative, and teamwork oriented.
