As a group, we are growing rapidly and as part of the (QEJP) Queensland Energy and Jobs Plan , actively helping to advance the energy transition towards net zero.

Our payroll team are on the forefront of support to our expanding workforce, and we are recruiting for new payroll officers to join our growing team.

About your new role

You’ll report into a Payroll Team Leader and be part of a wider team of seventeen, helping to process a fortnightly pay run for our 8000 employees across Queensland.

Our payroll team model is task oriented and each fortnight you’ll be responsible for parts of the payroll process such as:
  • Setting up new employees.
  • Completing acting arrangements and secondment changes for employees.
  • Calculating end of employment payments for employees leaving the business.

Working with our current payroll system, Ellipse, you’ll also be responsible for:
  • Maintaining employee payroll masterfile records.
  • Preparing, reconciling, and remitting post-payroll reports to internal/external stakeholders ie STP and Superannuation
  • Running queries and exception reports to check payroll data compliance.

About you

We will be transitioning to a new SAP payroll system later in 2023, and your previous experience with SAP will be highly regarded, as will STP2 implementation experience.

You will have considerable experience in a similar size and complex organisation that pays across blue- and white-collar positions.

Our team recently scored an impressive perfect engagement score, and you will be someone who can add to that positivity and team dynamic.
