Finance Manager [Uruguay]


 Morgan Philips Executive Search is working with an important international agribusiness to find a Finance Manager based in Montevideo, Uruguay. This person will be responsible for the implementation and/or formulation of the financial policies and practices of the company, under the supervision of the MD Latin America and Group CFO. Plans, directs and coordinates financial and administrative operations, evaluates the financial situation, prepares budgets and controls their compliance, monitors the evolution of costs and establishes administrative procedures. The position involves controlling compliance with the country's corporate and legal policies regarding the financial operations, ensuring that the investments made by the company are made for the indicated use and are aimed at generating the expected profitability for shareholders. It is responsible for reporting and consolidating the Latam different subsidiaries numbers for HQ and for coordinating the Latam Region budget.

Qualifications

  • Qualified Accountant - ACA, ACCA, ACMA, IFAC
  • Ability to manage relationships with banks and other financial institutions, negotiate banking agreements, and secure financing
  • Ability to create and manage budgets, monitor performance against budgets, and identify and analyze variances
  • Ability to manage the company's cash flow effectively, including forecasting and monitoring cash inflows and outflows, managing working capital, and optimizing cash management policies
  • Senior stakeholder management/communication skills
  • Have a collaborative mindset and be willing to work closely with internal teams to achieve overall company goals
  • Master's degree in finance, accounting or a related field
Experience

  • Minimum experience: seven years in finance or accounting roles, preferably in the trading or manufacturing industry, and experience in managing a team
  • Proven experience in finance management
  • Experience in identifying and managing financial risks, including market risk, credit risk, and operational risk
  • Experience in managing investments and making investment decisions, including selecting investment vehicles and managing investment portfolios
  • Experience in developing financial models to analyze investment opportunities, forecast cash flows, and evaluate financial performance
  • Strong understanding of financial reporting standards and experience in financial analysis
  • Knowledge of tax laws and regulations in Latin America and experience in managing tax compliance, reporting, and planning
  • Knowledge of treasury management principles, including foreign exchange risk management, hedging strategies, and liquidity management
Fluent in spanish and english is mandatory.
