Responsibilities
Present and advocate for Saint Paul Public Schools (SPPS) as a premier employer to a variety of recruitment sources and potential applicants.
Develop strategies that target the recruitment of diverse candidates that represent the student population of SPPS.
Lead the Talent Acquisition team to develop, coordinate and implement effective recruitment strategies, programs and events to ensure staffing needs are met in a timely manner.
Participate on the Talent Acquisition team to identify applicant sources and to ensure a continuous flow of qualified applicants.
Lead the work related to recruitment; coordinate activities and the participation of other staff as necessary; facilitate meetings; compile information and make related recommendations to administration/hiring managers; create, maintain and update a databasedata base of recruitment activities; track the tools that are most effectiveaffective and share these analytics with the internal stakeholders as neededdepartment regularly; assist with implementation of proposed changes and related activities.
Coordinate the attendance of Saint Paul Public Schools¿ teams at college/universities and community recruitment events. Develop a calendar of events and planning the logistics of such events.
Lead the coordination and development of materials and scripts, in conjunction with SPPS Talent Acquisition team for all recruitment events in and for SPPS hosts.
Establish relationships with a variety of partners, such as colleges and universities, businesses, community organizations and other organizations as appropriate.
Coordinate publicity efforts around recruitment and retention in our social media environment.
Identify/evaluate recruitment advertising resources; compose recruitment ads and coordinate employment advertising through local and national media.
Assist with efforts to increase employee retention.
Assist with the development and improvement of new employee district and building onboarding processes and procedures.
Assist with the development of orientation and training programs relating to recruitment and retention of employees and related topics and present these sessions to relevant audiences.
Research and maintain knowledge of the market place to develop recruitment strategies; utilize knowledge of multiple recruiting sources and execute various recruiting strategies.
Actively market SPPS Human Resource services and increase SPPS Human Resources visibility and credibility throughout the organization internally.
Contribute to the district¿s inclusive workplace efforts by fostering an environment of cooperation between students, staff, families, unions, guests, and volunteers who represent a diverse group speaking over 71 languages and 122 dialects.
Research the results of recruiting efforts; compile statistics and prepare reports for administration to use in the overall strategic planning process.
Perform other related duties as assigned.

Strong technology skills including google, Teams, Peoplesoft, word processing, spreadsheets, and data entry and retrieval.
Presentation skills and ability to deliver orientation/training programs relevant to recruitment and employment.

Support the full recruitment life cycle across vacancies a variety of open roles, helping managers find, hire, onboard and retain quality candidates.
Foster high-touch relationships using a database of qualified candidates to choose from when positions become open.
Maintain the candidate pools and keep both active and passive job seekers engaged throughout the recruitment process.
Partner with internal stakeholders, recruiting team and senior managers to design, refine, and implement innovative recruitment strategies.
Remain active with job boards, social networks, and platforms for finding quality candidates, and support with creating and posting job descriptions and announcements.
Partner with Communications/Marketing to create and maintain employer branding as a destination employer.
Ensure hiring practices, processes and procedures are equitable and evaluated on a regular basis.

Pay,Benefits, & Work Schedule
This is a 12 month position working 40 hours per week.
Salary and benefits are in accordance with the Professional Employees Association (PEA) negotiated labor agreement. The labor agreement and salary schedule can be found at https://www.spps.org/Page/33566. The minimum rate of pay for this position is $62,366 annually.
Benefits are available to new employees after 30 days of active employment. Benefits include medical insurance, life insurance, sick leave, pension plan, tax-free retirement account, and flexible spending account.
