Job Description: Restaurant Assistant Manager (Fine Dining Restaurant)
Starting salary: QAR 3,500++ or QAR 5,000 (Full package / All in)
++ Free shared accommodation and transportation
Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and motivated Restaurant Supervisor to lead our front-of-house team and ensure the smooth and efficient operation of our restaurant. As a Restaurant Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising and supporting the restaurant staff, maintaining exceptional customer service standards, and assisting in the overall management of the dining establishment.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership and Support:
- Supervise and guide the front-of-house staff, including servers, hosts, and bartenders, ensuring they adhere to service standards and fulfill their roles effectively.
- Provide training and ongoing coaching to new and existing staff to enhance their skills and ensure a consistent level of service.
- Motivate and inspire the team to deliver exceptional guest experiences and foster a positive work environment.
Customer Service Excellence:
- Interact with guests to ensure they receive attentive and personalized service.
- Address customer inquiries, feedback, and complaints in a professional and timely manner, striving to exceed their expectations.
- Monitor guest feedback and implement improvements to enhance the overall dining experience.
Operational Oversight:
- Work closely with the Restaurant Manager to ensure all daily operations run smoothly and efficiently.
- Oversee dining room setup, cleanliness, and organization to create a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere for guests.
- Assist in managing reservations, seating arrangements, and waiting lists during peak hours.
Quality Control and Standards:
- Ensure the restaurant's service standards are consistently met by conducting regular service checks and providing constructive feedback to staff.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to maintain consistency in food quality, presentation, and timing of service.
Financial Management Support:
- Assist in monitoring inventory levels and tracking usage to optimize resource utilization and minimize waste.
- Work with the management team to implement cost-control measures without compromising on quality.
- Help in managing cash handling procedures and ensure accuracy in billing and transactions.
Safety and Compliance:
- Uphold health, safety, and sanitation regulations, ensuring the restaurant's compliance with all relevant laws and guidelines.
- Train and educate staff on safety protocols and emergency procedures.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Proven experience in a supervisory or leadership role within the restaurant or hospitality industry.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with guests and team members.
- Strong leadership and decision-making abilities to handle various challenges that may arise during operations.
- Knowledge of food service operations, customer service best practices, and industry trends.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the restaurant's operating hours.
