Depot Operative
Our client is a leading manufacturer of PVC-UE fascia and soffit products for the building industry, based in Rathcoole, Dublin. We are currently seeking a Depot Operative to join our team. This is a full-time position from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday to Friday, offering a salary of €29,000 per annum, paid weekly each Thursday.
Job Overview:
As a Depot Operative, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the Rathcoole depot while maintaining a high level of customer service. This hands-on position involves various warehousing duties and direct interaction with customers.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Customer Service:
- Provide excellent customer service both face-to-face and over the phone.
2. Warehousing Duties:
- Replenish stock and ensure adequate stock levels are maintained.
- Pick orders accurately and efficiently.
- Perform regular stock counts.
- Organize and label customer orders.
- Offload and inspect incoming goods for quality and accuracy.
3. Sales Maximisation:
- Identify upselling opportunities and generate additional sales from existing and potential customers.
- Follow up on sales leads and opportunities.
4. Order Entry and Documentation:
- Input and maintain order entries and sales dockets using the company's computerised systems.
5. Financial Transactions:
- Handle customer transactions involving cash and credit card payments.
- Conduct regular bank lodgements to avoid keeping excess cash on-site.
6. Collaboration:
- Collaborate with other company functions such as distribution, finance, customer services, and quality to ensure efficient operations.
7. Health and Safety:
- Maintain health and safety standards to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
8. Documentation:
- Complete all necessary documentation as required for various tasks and processes.
