The full-time Network & Systems Administrator will assist with all aspects of the IT estate and support the IT Department in always providing superior service. To be successful in this role you must by thoroughly comfortable with Cisco IOS, Microsoft 365 and Windows operating systems and their operation in an enterprise environment. As a multi-site business with a large network infrastructure the role presents the right candidate with an excellent opportunity to fast-track their career.

Job Responsibilities

  • Installation, maintenance, repair, and monitoring of LAN and WAN infrastructure including routers, switches, VPN, firewalls, and wireless infrastructure.
  • Identify network and infrastructure issues to provide recommendations
  • Plan and implement project work
  • Network design, improvement, and rationalisation
  • Microsoft365 administration
  • PC and server hardware, software, and O/S support
  • Documentation of processes and network
  • Adhering to accepted security practices and incessant cyber security awareness

Technical Requirements

  • Candidate must have completed CCNA, or comparable qualifications, and have 2+ years’ experience in an IT support role.
  • Excellent networking experience and understanding of networking concepts.
  • Experience building and supporting firewalls, routers & switches a necessity.
  • Candidates must be confident working with Cisco network infrastructure.
  • Experience administering Microsoft365 and Intune.
  • PC troubleshooting skills and good working knowledge of basic PC architecture.
  • Candidates should also have good knowledge of TCP/IP, UDP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, SSH, VLAN and other common core network technologies and services.
  • Telecoms knowledge including VOIP / SIP and mobile technologies advantageous.
  • Robust troubleshooting and strong analytical skills with demonstrated problem solving ability required.

Other Information

  • Working week is Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:30pm with occasional work outside of business hours for project or maintenance purposes
  • Glandore is a multisite business, operating offices in Dublin, Belfast & Cork. This role is located primarily in Glandore’s Dublin 2 HQ with occasional travel to other sites.
