General Ledger & Tax Supervisor [Greece]


 

Fraport Greece is currently looking to grow the Accounting Department’s team by hiring a caliber General Ledger & Tax Supervisor. The ideal candidate will be accountable for establishing and supervising the tax requirements and obligations of the company and communicating with the tax authorities.

The role is located in our Headquarters in Marousi.

What you will be doing:

  • Prepare and submit the company’s tax declarations for VAT, Income Tax, Withholding Tax, etc.
  • Advise and provide guidelines regarding tax payments within deadlines.
  • Ensure the timely upload of the commercial agreements with the tenants and the quarterly upload of the contracts with the suppliers in the AADE platform.
  • Follow the tax legislation’s updates and inform the correspondent Departments of the required adoptions.
  • Build a rapport and regularly communicate with tax authorities participating in audits.
  • Cooperate with external Auditors providing all required data.
  • Ensure data accuracy of the general ledger entries.
  • Entry and reconcile major suppliers’ invoices.
  • Control and reconcile the payroll’s accounts in close cooperation with HRT Department.

Requirements

  • BSc in Economics/Accounting while a relevant MSc would be considered an asset.
  • A solid professional experience of 8-10 years in an Accounting Department, with a minimum of three years in a similar role.
  • Fluency in Greek and English (oral and written at a professional corporate level).
  • SAP R/3-Knowledge (Modules FI) is mandatory.
  • MS Office Proficiency and Tech savviness.
  • Proven knowledge of International and National accounting (IFRS and Greek GAAP Diploma) would be a plus.
  • Fulfilled military obligations (if appropriate).
