We are looking for an energetic individual who likes to work hard, pays attention to detail, and can adapt to a fast-paced environment in our peak season. We are looking for someone who can work independently as well as be able to take direction from co-workers and supervisors efficiently. This contract position is until December 22, 2023. Individuals must be available on weekends.
As the order picker, you will be helping our company during the busiest time of the year by taking our work tickets and picking products to fulfill our hand-delivery services and volume orders.
Our products range from gift baskets, box towers and gourmet commodities.
Responsibilities
- Pick, organize and verify orders for delivery or pick-up
- Working independently to ensure high-volume orders are prepared in a timely manner
- Ability to plan ahead for future deliveries and streamline the process
- Following workflow as provided by Management and the HR Team
- Ensure all work complies with Safety Standards and all applicable codes and policies
- Support the General Labour team during down time for packaging of items with a tape gun
Qualifications
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends
- Prefer to have 1 year of experience in an order picking environment
- Computer skills to identify product and delivery information
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Previous order-picker experience considered an asset
- Ability to stand up to 5 hours at a time completing tasks.
- Legally entitled to work in Canada full-time
- Must be able to work 11AM - 8PM
Our policy requires you to wear a mask and hair net in the warehouse area.
Pay for this position will be provided directly into the worker's bank account every two weeks & is subject to all Canadian laws related to taxation, pensions & other deductions.
