Job Purpose


The Country Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of our operations within the designated country. This role ensures the effective and efficient execution of operational strategies, maximizes customer satisfaction and drives business growth. The Country Operations Manager will be an integral part of the leadership team, focused on delivering top-notch services and achieving the company's strategic goals.


Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations, ensuring efficiency and high-quality service to meet customer requirements and expectations.
  • Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure seamless coordination between various departments.
  • Monitor and manage operational costs, ensuring alignment with budgets and financial targets.
  • Analyze operational data and metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with other managers to enhance cross-functional teamwork, ensuring efficient communication and workflow.
  • Ensure compliance with all local laws, regulations, and industry standards related to supply chain and ports.

People Management Responsibilities:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing operations team to achieve company objectives.
  • Set performance expectations, provide ongoing feedback, and conduct performance appraisals.
  • Foster a positive work environment, promoting a culture of teamwork, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Identify training and development needs and facilitate learning opportunities for team members.

Strategic Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the development and execution of the company's long-term strategic plans with the senior management.
  • Identify and pursue growth opportunities within the designated country, including new markets, clients, and services.
  • Collaborate with other departments to improve overall company performance and achieve synergies.

Required Qualification and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in logistics or supply chain management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Professional certifications such as CSCP (Certified Supply Chain Professional) or CLTD (Certified in Logistics, Transportation, and Distribution) are highly desirable.
