About the role:
As Technical Specialist - End User Compute, you'll work as part of a team deliver technical subject matter expertise and support to the ICT function on a 24/7 basis. This exciting role involves:
- Delivering technical operational support as well as specialist caching to the rest of the team.
- Providing expert technical support to end users, diagnosing and resolving complex hardware and software issues in a timely manner.
- Configuring, deploying, and managing a variety of end-user devices, including desktops, laptops, and mobile devices.
- Implementing security measures and best practices to ensure data protection and compliance with company policies.
- Offering support to empower end users to make the most of available technologies.
- Staying up-to-date with industry trends and advancements to recommend innovative solutions for continuous improvement.
A bit about you:
To help you be as successful as you can, you'll bring with you:
- 5 years in end-user computing, technical support, or a related role.
- Tertiary education in Computer Science, Information Technology, Commerce or similar.
- Proficiency in operating systems (Windows, MacOS, Linux) and software deployment.
- Strong knowledge of hardware components, peripherals, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Familiarity with network protocols and remote support tools.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Valuable stakeholder relationship building skills
