Individual contributors with responsibility in a professional or technical discipline or specialty, but may manage two or fewer employees. May direct the work of other lower level professionals or manage processes and programs. The majority of time is spent overseeing the design, implementation or delivery of processes, programs and policies using specialised knowledge and skills typically acquired thro advanced education (3-4 year University degree).
Work experience: 10-15 years
Technical Skills required:
- Strong in AWS, Network, CI/CD, DevOps, SSO (SAML or OIDC).
- Understanding of modern tech and how it can support business objectives
- Ability to translate business needs, to technical solutions, considering risk and impacts
- Ability to identify and assess development options and technology risks
- Ability to conduct analysis of COTS products and technologies
- Leading the design and adherence (to) of the architecture operating model
- Practiced in identifying, validating (through POC) and promoting emerging technologies
- Leading consultation with business stakeholders, technologists and vendors
- Experience assessing solutions and vendors through stages of RFx
- Experience in defining and translating data dictionary, metadata and data models
- Experience in modern delivery practices and modern architectural and engineering concepts (Agile)
- Experience in a retail environment
Roles & responsibilites:
- Contributes to the Technology strategy
- Develops architectural models, processes, tools and standards for the domain and ensures compliance to the Technology strategy and architectural principals
ensures architectural debt, risks and issues are owned and registered.
- Participates in Retrospectives and Post Implementation Reviews (PIRs)
- Participation in architectural Governance processes (ARB, Design Forums, stand ups) whenever solution

Maintain in-depth knowledge of IT industry best practices, technologies, architectures and emerging technologies

Work closely with stakeholders on vendor and solution evaluation, through all phases of RFx, ensuring decisions are consistent with architecture governance Ensure an architecture that supports the continual evolution of the environment to meet changing business needs
